My insurance premiums are going up due to power outages, stock loss, business downtime, etc. Can  you help?

Yes we can. We are aware that insurers are increasingly putting pressure on their clients to mitigate energy and ESG risk by installing off-grid power such as batteries and solar. Such measures are of limited value in the times where they're needed the most - hot, changeable weather leading to heavy power demands. The result: claims will still be necessary, no-claim bonuses are forgone and premiums will still rise. We are putting together a Certification Pack for our clients to shop around their insurers and negotiate a better deal for everyone.

What is biodiesel?

Biodiesel is a 100% carbon-neutral, renewable fuel that is locally made and can be used directly in Biodiesel Approved Generators. As energy shortages worsen over time, domestic biofuel sources, made locally, are going to provide greater energy security and reduced cost impacts for those early movers who have forged their own alternative green energy pathways.

Is biodiesel carbon neutral?

Yes, biodiesel under the Australian Governments “National Greenhouse Account`s Factors 2022” is deemed to be 100% carbon neutral. Using biodiesel as an energy source for your business attracts tax incentives, accumulation of Carbon Credits and Renewable Energy Certificates which can be stored, leveraged or traded on publicly accessible markets.

What about these new ESG reporting requirements the government is implementing?

The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) is finalising the guidelines now for mandatory reporting by all ASIC registered entities that meet the criteria to audit and record their ESG obligations. These will likely follow similar requirements as in the EU and US and failure to report can result in heavy fines or imprisonment. We are ahead of the these regulations and can provide the necessary reporting data and certification framework as an integral part of our automated monitoring and fuel supply package.

What capacity generators do you offer?

Our immediate fleet ranges from 250kVA through to 640kVA prime rating, all Scania powered. Staunch is currently working on a range of smaller sized generators that will also be biodiesel ready.

How can I acquire a biodiesel generator?

You can purchase, rent or we can offer a joint venture option for the right project. For more information please fill out our contact form here or drop us a line through the online chat box.

How is a biodiesel ready generator different to a normal generator?

Most diesel engines will run biodiesel without major modifications, however some minor changes such as seal materials, servicing requirements and ECU tuning are sometimes required, depending on the engine. The main difference is warranty - most manufacturers won't offer warranty on high ratio or 100% biodiesel without a qualified support team and certified fuel supply. Biodiesel Generators has formed the necessary partnership agreements to provide this service for you.
